CLINICAL SPECIALIZATION

Meagan Smith has prior experience working in an Intensive Outpatient Program, where she provided treatment to adolescents who experienced severe suicidal ideation, mood and personality disorders, severe childhood trauma, substance abuse, and a variety of other mental health disorders. During her time there, she provided therapy to individuals and families and also facilitated group and parent therapy sessions. Meagan has gained additional experience working at the Frances Smith Center for Individual and Family Therapy, a non-profit clinic. At the clinic, she provided treatment to adults, families, couples, and adolescents in the community. Meagan uses a trauma-informed and attachment-based approach while utilizing various therapy modalities, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
